Bummer Day
"Today was a bit of a grind. I spent a good chunk of it catching up on dishes and getting a new loaf of bread started. It was definitely needed since we finished the first one and the rye ended up molding—a total bummer, but I'll try again soon. I also started a sourdough culture today; I’m really hoping this one takes off."
Just Waiting
The appointment is finally behind me. I’ve officially decided on the size I want, so now it’s just a waiting game to see if everything gets approved or if we need to adjust the plan. I wasn't feeling my best this morning and stayed in bed until 2:00 PM, but I got up when a friend called needing help. I’m glad I could be there to help her pick up medication for her cat, Baby; I really hope he starts feeling better soon. On the creative side, I’m becoming much more proficient with LumaFusion and YouTube Create. I’m looking forward to sharing links to my videos soon—I wish I could embed them directly here, but links will have to do for now!

Giddy
I am absolutely giddy right now! Today is my appointment with Plastic & Hand for my top surgery. If insurance gives the green light, I’ll be getting my breast augmentation soon—hopefully before Pride! I’ve been fighting for this for four and a half years, and it hasn’t been an easy road, but I’m finally here.

Loving the CI
Why I’m Done With "Normal" Pans Forever
I started this summer with a tiny 8" cast iron pan just to test the waters, and now I’m officially hooked. I’ve already upgraded to a Lodge 8", and added 10" and 12" pans to the collection. Honestly? I’m never looking back.
Why do I love them? Because they are bulletproof. No toxic coatings, no handles that wiggle loose, and no planned obsolescence. I could use these for the rest of my life and then pass them down. It’s the last cookware I’ll ever need to buy.

Doing Better
"Life has been a bit of a hurdle lately. Between health recovery and the daily grind of appointments and chores, my energy has been focused on just keeping the house running. I took a detour into learning source code compilation—it didn't work out, but I'm fine with that. It's time to shift focus to things that actually move the needle."
